A challenging trading environment and global factors have New Zealand businesses under pressure – swift accurate final mile delivery can give them the edge.
So what happened when an independent market research company tested New Zealand Couriers transit times for our courier items against our closest competitor?
The test
4 September 2025 396 satchels were sent from a central Auckland address to identical business addresses overnight around New Zealand – 50% through New Zealand Couriers and 50% using our closest NZ competitor.
Results by Day 1 8:30am
By 8:30am New Zealand Couriers are 81% ahead of our competitor, with 33% of all items sent through our network already at their destination.
Results by Day 1 9:30am
By 9:30am New Zealand Couriers are still 71% ahead of our competitor – 57% of all items have arrived.
Overall results
By the end of Day 2 New Zealand Couriers had completed every delivery. On average, we delivered satchels to business addresses 2 hours and 8 minutes earlier than the competition.
